What class times and dates are available for my child?
Summer camps run Monday through Thursday in July and August. Click here to go to the calendar view of camps.
How much do the camps cost?
The fee for each camp varies. Prices are listed with the camp descriptions.
How many students are in a camp?
There are between 10 and 14 students in a full class.
Can my son/daughter be in a camp with their brother/sister even though they are not in the same grade?
Yes. Summer classes are designed so students of all ages can be grouped together. Projects are tailored on the spot to suit each student’s ability regardless of the varying ages and/or skill levels in a particular class.
What supplies will my child need?
Most supplies are provided by Art Adventures. Additional supplies are listed with the camp descriptions.
What should my child wear?
Although we provide cotton smocks, we do suggest students dress in casual play clothes.
Are your camps only for “talented students”?
Oh, no! We believe EVERYONE can make great Art! We invite students of all ages to participate in our camps. We focus on self confidence and use positive reinforcement to ensure every student has a wonderful experience at Art Adventures.
If my child is gifted in art, will he/she be challenged in your camps?
Absolutely. We work with many advanced students to sharpen their skills, teach upper level techniques and expand their creativity.
What if I need to cancel a summer registration?
There are no refunds for summer camps. However, if space is available, we will be happy to transfer a student to another camp that better suits your schedule. Please contact us with these requests via phone or email.
What if my child misses one day from a multi-day camp?
There are no refunds for summer camps. However, we will do our best to ensure your student has enough time to finish their Art project. Please contact us via email or phone to discuss the specifics of your situation.
What if a class is full? Is there a waiting list?
If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, you must do so by phone or email. Waiting lists are built on a first come basis.
What if my child is attending several camps in a row and needs a snack?
We do not allow food in the studio, however, students who need to eat, are welcome to take a break and have a snack in the lobby. PLEASE pack only DRY snacks and a drink with a screw-on cap.
Does the student need prior art experience to attend summer classes?
No. We teach all of our students one to one. The only requirement is to have fun!
Are classes grouped by age or school grade as they are for the school year art classes?
No. Because we teach one to one, we are able to place students of various ages in the same class. We try our best to keep similar ages together.
Are there any classes with a minimum age requirement?
Yes. Students in the Pre K / K camps must be at least 4 years old. Students going into Kindergarten next year and younger can ONLY take the Pre-K / K camps. Students must be going into the 1st grade or older to participate in the other camps. (Photo is only available to rising 6th graders and older.)
My child is going into first grade, but wants to be in the Pre-K / K camp with a younger friend. Is that OK?
Certainly. Older students may join the Pre K / K camps, but the projects may be ones they have done in the past.
Other than the class and supply fees are there any other costs involved?
No

Yes
Can I register for more than one weekly session?
